Dr Adam Dinsmore
Dr Adam Dinsmore is a sociologist interested in deindustrialised places. Based at Manchester Metropolitan University, he currently works on an ESRC-funded project on Football, Intergenerationality, and Place-identity in Post-industrial English Towns. His doctoral research examined populist politics in the North of England after Brexit.
Dr Lexi Dziedziech
Dr. Alexis Dziedziech is a researcher at Lund University and the Institut Pasteur, specialising in medical entomology and parasitology. Her work focuses on animal health policy, biosecurity, and the intersection of zoonotic disease surveillance with public health equity. She serves as a Scientific Advisor for Voices for Animal Welfare, where she identifies biosecurity risks in local legislation to strengthen the health and livelihoods of local communities.
Dr Coll de Lima Hutchison
Coll studies microbes, medicines and their eclectic human homes, whether billionaires, scientists, public intellectuals and their followers, or more (extra)ordinary hosts. Such curious company affords explorations of the making and unmaking of modernity and possibilities for fugitivity, refuge and play amidst escalating greed and shadows of systemic collapse. Coll can also be found parenting, crofting, dancing and fermenting, nourishing collective, embodied possibilities for learning, healing and more-than-human flourishing.
Dr Cecilie Hilmer
Cecilie Hilmer is a Science and Technology Studies researcher interested in the power and politics at play in the relationship between science, technology, and society. Trained originally as a biochemist before moving into social sciences, she aims to bring an interdisciplinary lens to questions of research governance, working across the biosciences, policy, and critical social science. Her PhD (UCL) examined the rise of mission-oriented thinking in European research and innovation funding, arguing for an honest and reparative confrontation with Europe's underlying crises. She is currently an ARIA-funded Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Exeter, researching the responsible governance of synthetic plants.
Dr Jon Lindblom
Jon Lindblom is a writer and cultural theorist based in Stockholm. His work mainly focuses on the global intersection of modernism and popular culture from a historical and theoretical perspective. He has an MA and a PhD in Visual Cultures from Goldsmiths University and runs the website Modernism Unbound.
David Roland Warwick
David is a UK based filmmaker and writer. His forthcoming feature documentary Smoking Shores is supported by Ffilm Cymru Wales and Creative Wales, with executive producers Michael Sheen and Sonja Henrici. David has also directed documentary content for major global brands, charities and organisations, and his short films have screened at film festivals internationally.
